Today I had the GREAT pleasure of capturing a young lady I have known for longer than I thought lol! I am glad to say that this lovely Lady remains as confidently beautiful as she always was!
Wishing you great success in all your endeavors!
I have been up late every night (morning?) since my last post, working hard to stay caught up, and deliver what I’ve promised, and I am so grateful for what looks to be another full and productive year. Here’s the latest.
A promo piece for an Olympic athlete. We wish you well sir!
I’ve also taken a bit of time and made a pair of denim slippers. (I will jump to leather once I am convinced I wont mess it up!) I will post images of my process, and my mostly completed too cute slippers soon. Til next time, Have a beautiful!
I have had the hardest time photographing my Tui! Now I have done dog photography before with a fair amount of success but this little one, smhlol!
so here is what I did to Make it better:
1. Assess the Situation
What is the temperament of your dog?
- Tui is a hyper little puppy with a short attention span. She also tends to
stick close to her mom
Where is the light?
- I ended up going outside to the shaded side of my house. The light
came from the left.
2. Move to the area YOU want to shoot, make noises or whistle to get your dog’s attention. Have treats or toys on hand. I’m not above bribery in a pinch =-)
3. Have patience. Not every shot will be perfect, and trying to keep the attention of a hyper little puppy will take some time, but if you keep your cool, wait a little bit, let your puppy relax, you will eventually get the image you wanted, and possibly an image you didn’t know you wanted!
Happy Shooting. Make It Better!
It’s Spring time and for our household that means planting. I must say I absolutely love eating from our land. Knowing that our hard work, and daily diligence can produce wonder-filled rewards that are nutritious and tasty, does my heart well. I must admit though that we are a bit late in our planting, and there is still much prep work to do. This year I am planning to add cotton to our garden. I want to try my hand at yarn and thread making. Yep it’s one of my new projects too. I already have the seeds, just need to prep the soil and plant. Already our peach tree is sprouting, and my Fav believes the avocado tree we planted last year will do well.
We have yet to complete our room, BUT I foresee sanding in our near future. As the weather warms up, our energy levels are increasing too =-) That and some upcoming plans have us ready to finish this project.
And… I’ve been designing. This time it’s shoes. When I get over my own self, I will try my hand at leather shoe making. Nothing too fancy, just some basic designs. I have all I need to get started, I just don’t want to mess up my leather!
We finished our dog house and they are warming up to it. They still love being inside with us, and I love them here so…
I am still practicing my guitar, my goal is to learn a new song every month (or so ) and it’s coming along.
And finally, at least for tonight, I am starting a series here called - Make It Better. It’s sort of a spin off of my Photo Course Light Writers. I will be talking about images I made, or attempt to make, using only natural light and my camera, and go through my process to make it better, so if you’re interested, stay tuned. The first one will be up on Friday March 16, 2012.
That’s enough for now. Have a beautiful!
I’ve been playing around with the idea of combining my professional blog with this more personal blog for a bit. I’ve even began posting teasers from my more recent Sessions already and I have convinced myself!
As of now, I will only have ONE blog. I am after all One person, living One life. =-) So welcome to my world! The zanyness begins!
I am so thrilled that I get to experience the growth of some very precious little ones. This little mister has so much personality. I absolutely love these images made by My Fav.
Just look at that smile! and the leather clad “Super Mini Man” LOL! So awesome…
Thanks Fav for doing such an awesome job. Wish I could have been there to see this!
I was reading through some of my earlier posts and realized I never showed any images of my Tashi’s pups.
Things were so hectic, and moving so fast that unfortunately all we seem to have are from our camera phones sigh…
so while the quality isn’t so great, I hope you enjoy the moments we attempted to capture. All of the pups are gone to new homes expect for our Tui Nicole who makes our home just a bit more chaotic, and a bunch more fun. (really I think she has ADHD! We have to lock her in her kennel so she remembers to eat!)
It’s amazing how much she has changed in just a few short weeks. We have had many laughs on this little one, and I suspect MANY more to come!
